Ask the Patient: Improving Swiss Healthcare Value through Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROMs)

Background: Scientifically validate a generic patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) for use in Switzerland.

Aim: Does the PROMIS-29 instrument exhibit acceptable psychometrics for recommendable use in Switzerland?

Method: PROM-Stakeholder meeting already conducted. Systematic literature review of previous PROMs in Switzerland. Tryout of a national survey of PROMIS-29 with evaluation compared to Euro-QoL-5d.

Results: Recommendations for continued use/disuse of existing PROMs. A recommendable generic PROM for use in Switzerland.
