Short Bio

Gaia Contu is a PhD student in social robotics and ethics of Elderly Care Robots at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa. Her work focuses on emotional attachment between vulnerable people and social robots from an ethical and social point of view. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics at University of Padua and a Master's Degree in Logic, History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Florence, with a thesis on communication and social perception of science. She also carries out activities of scientific dissemination.
