Short Bio

Stefanos Athanasiou, born 1981 in Hanau/Germany, has studied Theology at the Universities of Munich and Thessaloniki. After gaining his PhD in Theology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), he worked as a Lecturer (Orthodox Dogmatic and Ethics) at the University of Bern and as a Guest Lecturer at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and the Theological College of Chur. Since 2017 he is Lecturer at the Theological study year of Dormitio in Jerusalem, since 2018 Guest Lecturer at the Theological Faculty of Fribourg and since 2019 Guest Lecturer at the Theological Faculty of Bonn. 2018 he past successfully a PostDoc Thesis at the Faculty of Theology in Thessaloniki. Since September 2019 he is Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine at the University of Zurich.
