Stehr-Boldt Fellowship Award in Biomedical Ethics

The Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine at the University of Zurich is pleased to announce a call for applications for the Stehr-Boldt Fellowship Award in Biomedical Ethics.

The call is open to young and established researchers from any country and discipline who are engaged in research on biomedical ethics, in particular on issues relating to health policy and public health.

The Stehr-Boldt Fonds seeks to promote scholarship in biomedical ethics by offering funded research stays at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine of the University of Zurich. Scholars will be provided with office space, opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange, training, access to relevant resources and mentoring.

Fellowships cover a period between 3 and 12 months and include a stipend to contribute towards accommodation and living expenses. A maximum amount of 3‘000 Swiss Francs can be allocated in addition to cover travel expenses from and to the country of origin. A jury will select among applicants based on scientific excellence, thematic relevance and originality of the scholars’ research to date and their planned project. Conceptual, analytical and/or empirical approaches can be chosen.
