Developing and refining indicators to measure the impact on patient safety of generalized use of DRGs for hospital reimbursement in Switzerland

The researcher team at the IMS of the University of Lausanne aims to provide instruments for assessing the impact of the nationwide introduction of DRGs on patient safety. It will be drawing on different indicators based on routinely collected data and assess their accuracy. First trends showing in the project period will be evaluated.
